A Special Announcement

This is Rabbi Deborah Waxman. Thanks so much for listening to our podcast, “Hashivenu: Jewish teachings on resilience.” Our next regular episode is on its way in February. But I wanted to take a moment to let you know about our organization’s new name. We’re now called Reconstructing Judaism. This name expresses what we do and what we have always done, and it communicaties our mission in our name. Reconstructing Judaism is the central organization of the Reconstructionist movement. We are deeply rooted and boldly relevant. We train moral leaders from a progressive perspective. We seed and support dynamic congregations and havurot. Through our Learning Networks, we convene and connect people who are tackling pressing challenges in Jewish life. We invest in startup projects that have the potential to transform Jewish life and learning. We bring Jewish values to the public square. And we encourage people to be their best selves —helping to shape what it means to be Jewish today and to imagine the Jewish future. Reconstructing Judaism is at the forefront of the Jewish tomorrow.
